Mercedes-Benz O.405 operated by SBS Transit used to be a common sight in Singapore. 400 of the 700 units are Duple Metsec bodied O.405. This project is done by a 2 men team. An average of four to six days were spent monthly on the 3D model of this bus, more time was spent on the initial stage as the creator has no experience in 3D-Modeling.

Refining of the dashboard and its cabin. Resizing of the wheels to the correct size, and some additional features were added. Raindrops can now be seen, however, could not be wiped off yet.

Scripting of dashboard (not completed) and editing of sounds
We are working on the complicated scripts to ensure that the dashboard is working correctly. Meanwhile, we have released a beta version for you to try out and feedback about the performance to us. We welcome both positive and negative feedbacks about this bus. If you know how to manipulate with the scripts, let us know! Your knowledge will definitely help us in generating the correct scripts for the bus. Any aid given to us will be greatly appreciated and given credit in the final release.

Refining of textures and addition of more interior items.

Doors animation completed.
July - October 2012
Configuration of passenger cabin, positioning of headlights, signal lights and tail lights, interior and exterior textures added. More refining works completed. Mirrors are all working. Repaint test are completed.

Ability to change Service Plates by using the 'rollband' function. License Plate number embedded to the buses, with several incomplete alphabets.

3D Model of the side mirrors completed.
January - April 2012
Creation of passenger seats and some passenger accessible interior objects. Refining of the interior and front rims.
October - December 2011
Refinements were done to the exterior.
By the end of October 2011, the exterior bodywork (except the rear) was completed. Creation of textures. Research and trial and errors about how the OMSI scripts work.
By the end of December 2011, 3D Model for the rear completed.
September 2011
Simple roof, the front, Sutrak air-conditioner pod and the rims were created. Further built up on the exterior of the bus.
August 2011
3D-Modelling started with the front cover, then extended to a simple chassis (or base) and lower portion of the bodywork sides, outlined based on photographs with aiding wheels provided in the OMSI Folder.
