Bus routes in Johor Bahru
Johor Bahru local bus services operate primarily under two key public transport networks: BAS.MY Johor Bahru and Bas Muafakat Johor. Together, they offer extensive transit coverage across Iskandar Malaysia, with primary connectivity centered at major transport hubs like JB Sentral and Larkin Sentral.

The local bus landscape in Johor Bahru has evolved significantly over the years. Early public transport initiatives like the Bas Iskandar Malaysia scheme ("IM" routes) restored essential suburban connections starting in 2010, before gradually transitioning into newer government-backed transit frameworks. By March 2022, the stage bus service transformation (SBST) program introduced myBAS Johor Bahru to overhaul suburban public transit with fixed timetables, cashless payments, and electric buses.
Effective 30 September 2025, the myBAS network was officially rebranded as BAS.MY Johor Bahru, adopting a distinctive pink polka-dot livery and updating route numbers to feature the "J" prefix (replacing the former "T" trunk and "F" feeder prefixes). This bright pink BAS.MY fleet forms the main backbone of JB's bus network and is open to all passengers.
Complementing the primary trunk network, Bas Muafakat Johor operates community-centric feeder services in a red and blue livery with "P" prefix routes. These localized routes offer free rides for Malaysian citizens, while foreign visitors and international tourists can access the network by purchasing a 14-day Foreign Tourist Pass via the MyJohor Transport app.
