New Transtar Cross-border bus service TS6 will start operations from Tuesday, 28 August 2018, providing an additional connection between Singapore and Johor Bahru.
Transtar Cross-border TS6 will ply between Buona Vista and GP Sentral bus terminal, providing a new direct bus service from the western areas such as Buona Vista, Kent Ridge and Tuas Industrial Estate of Singapore to Johor Bahru (JB).
A new timetable for cross-border bus service TS6 was uploaded on Transtar Travel's official website, revealing that the bus service will begin operating from Tuesday, 28 August 2018.
With the introduction of TS6, the cross-border bus network at Second Link will no longer be monopolised by Johor based public bus operator, Causeway Link.
Presently, Causeway Link has a network of 11 bus routes providing connections between Singapore and various towns and attractions in Johor Bahru.
TS6 will make stops at Buona Vista MRT and Kent Ridge MRT stations, before proceeding to the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) to call at bus stops near West Coast, Clementi, Pandan Gardens, Jurong Bird Park and Tuas West.
TS6 accepts payment for bus fare by cash only, Ez-Link Cards are not accepted. The cost of a child ticket is half of an adult ticket. A ride from Buona Vista MRT and Kent Ridge MRT stations will cost S$5.00, lower fares are collected upon boarding at the bus stops nearer to the Tuas Checkpoint.
Cash fares in Malaysian Ringgit will be accepted when boarding the bus at GP Sentral or CIQ Second Link.
