New Transtar Cross-border bus service TS6 has begun operations from Tuesday, 28 August 2018, providing an additional connection between Singapore and Johor Bahru.
Transtar Cross-border TS6 has begun operations from Tuesday, 28 August 2018. An amendment was made to the original routing of TS6 days before the service was introduced. With the new routing, the cross-border bus service will call at additional stops in front of Gul Circle, Tuas West Road and Tuas Link MRT stations before proceeding to Tuas Checkpoint. However, on the return journey to Singapore, TS6 will only call at Tuas Link MRT Station, and proceed on to the bus stops along Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).
In addition, the new boarding point at Buona Vista has been shifted to another location, TS6 will not call at the bus stops adjacent to Buona Vista MRT along North Buona Vista Road.
In the official TS6 bus schedule available on Transtar Travel's website, Buona Vista MRT Station (along Rochester Drive) is listed as the new boarding point. However, the bus stop poster and signage on the bus indicated The Star Vista as the terminating point.
When our team visited The Star Vista, Rochester Drive and the pair of bus stops outside Buona Vista MRT on two occasions, no signages and buses for TS6 were seen. Passengers are advised to wait for TS6 at the designated bus stops along the route.
UPDATE on 5 Sep: It is confirmed that TS6 will pick up passengers along Rochester Drive in front of The Star Vista.
TS6 will make stops at Buona Vista MRT and Kent Ridge MRT stations, before proceeding to the AYE to call at bus stops near West Coast, Clementi, Pandan Gardens and Jurong Bird Park, and Gul Circle, Tuas West Road and Tuas Link MRT Stations.
