From 1 April 2016, fifteen Bas Muafakat Johor free city bus services will begin operations. With the introduction of Bas Muafakat Johor, bus commuters in Johor Bahru will see new connections or reintroduction of bus services in some areas without bus services. In this first phase of introduction, 30 buses will be wrapped with the new Bas Muafakat Johor branding and 15 bus routes will be rolled out.

With this introduction, JB Di Hatiku free bus service JB1 by Majlis Bandaraya Johor Bahru will be rebranded and renumbered as Bas Muafakat Johor bus route P101. Bas Muafakat Johor bus services will be operated by Causeway Link (7 routes) and Maju (8 routes).

The free bus services are only available for Malaysian citizens, whom have registered and received their travel card (Kad Muafakat Johor). For details and online registration of the card, please logon to http://www.basmuafakatjohor.com.

Bas Muafakat Johor is an initiative by the Johor Public Transport Corporation (Perbadanan Pengangkutan Awam Johor / PAJ), in collaboration with City Councils in Johor Bahru (MBJB), Johor Bahru Tengah (MBJPT), Kulai (MPKu) and Pasir Gudang (MPPG).

To be entitled with free bus ride, users of the Bas Muafakat Johor must register for the Muafakat Johor Card (Kad Muafakat Johor) from the official website here. Passengers boarding the bus without the card are required to pay the full fare of the bus ride.
