Announced on 3 April 2020, Singapore Government will implement heightened safe-distancing measures to reduce the risk of local transmission of COVID-19, which will be effective from Tuesday, 7 April 2020. This measure is in place until Monday, 4 May 2020.
With the "circuit breaker" measures in place, all non-essential businesses must stop operations at their workplaces. Work can only be performed by telecommuting from home. However, essential services such as supermarket, delivery services and entities that are part of the supply chain will remain open. Schools will move to full Home-Based Learning from 8 April 2020.
During this period, everyone should go out only to do essential activities.

With the reduced movement, SBS Transit peak hour bus service 128, SMRT weekend bus service 926, several Express bus services, City Direct and Night Bus Services will be suspended from Wednesday, 8 April 2020 to Monday, 4 May 2020.
