Announced on 3 April 2020, Singapore Government has implemented heightened safe-distancing "circuit breaker" measures to reduce the risk of local transmission of COVID-19, which took effect from Tuesday, 7 April 2020.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced an extension of Circuit Breaker measures on 21 April 2020. With the current extension, this measure will be in place until Monday, 1 June 2020.

The Land Transport Authority announced on Thursday, 23 April 2020 that Express Bus Service 89e will resume regular operations from Friday, 24 April 2020.
Bus Service 401 will be suspended from 25 April 2020. All suspended bus services will not operate until the end of the Circuit Breaker period on 1 June 2020.
